CHINNOR will be trying to break new ground as they bid to extend their advantage at the top of National 2 South tomorrow.
The leaders visit third-placed Bishops Stortford, probably the stiffest test they will face in the run-up to Christmas.
“In my three seasons at Chinnor, we’ve never beaten Stortford home or away,” said director of rugby Matt Williams.
“They are a formidable side, especially at home, so it’s a big week for us.”
Williams picks the same line-up originally selected for last week’s 58-17 hammering of Clifton.
Lock forward Nathan Hannay, who had to pull out of that game through illness, is back with Ross Parkins returning to the bench.
Henley Hawks, fresh from their welcome 30-22 victory over Worthing, make changes for their trip to Taunton Titans.
Winger Connor Hayhow replaces the injured Cameron Ives, while James Stephenson-Wright takes over from Alan Awcock who is not available
As part of their rotation policy, David Hyde returns to No 8, while Tom Emery gives way to Stuart Philpott at hooker.
The backs’ cover will be provided by Connor Murphy, last season’s first choice scrum-half who has returned to the Hawks on a dual registered basis with London Irish.
Oxford Harlequins, whose game at home to Grove last week was abandoned due to injury, make changes for the visit to second-placed Maidenhead in South West 1 East
Ollie Barlow steps up to prop, with Matt Edney switching to hooker.
Michael Ojo comes in at lock, Angus Milton is named at flanker, while in the backs, Noel O’Brian returns to scrum half and Jack Crowe to the wing.
Wheatley’s leading points scorer Arron Laman is unavailable for their trip to Aldermaston in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Championship.
