Dan Rivers and Janette Cardy lifted top honours at last night’s Oxfordshire Sports Awards. Commonwealth Games gold-medal winner Rivers was crowned sportsman of the year, while Cardy, who battled back from a stroke in 2011, lifted gold in the European Aquathlon Championships and won the sportswoman honour.
