Banbury halted Leamington’s nine-game winning run in Midlands 2 West South and maintained their own promotion push with an 18-0 victory, set up by a powerful display from their pack.
The visitors had the better of a scoreless first half, but then Banbury took command.
They went ahead four minutes after the interval when Alex Fogavini slotted a penalty in front the posts.
A try from Ernie Ell, converted by Fogavini, increased their advantage to 10-0, and with 20 minutes left, the visitors conceded another penalty which Fogavini slotted over.
Skipper Ed Phillips completed the victory with Banbury’s second try in the closing stages.
