A SECOND player has agreed to sign for Oxford United this summer – but the formalities cannot be completed until he returns from holiday.
Goalkeeper Scott Shearer is the only deal closed so far by the U’s, who had aimed to get a significant chunk of their transfer business done in May.
Boss Michael Appleton and the recruitment department have been working hard on strengthening the squad.
And while one unnamed target has yet to be announced, the deal will be completed when the player is back in the country.
Appleton said: “I still think, with a bit of luck, one or two will be done by the end of May.
“We have agreed on one and when he gets back from holiday it will get done.”
