DAVID Kuester kept up his busy programme by winning three gold medals at the Midlands (British) Masters Throwers Group meeting at Moorways Stadium, Derby.
Competing in the Heavy Hammer Pentathlon and One Handed Hammer Championships, in warm overcast conditions, Kuester, of Bicester AC and Oxford City AC Veterans, claimed two of his three victories in the men’s 70-plus age group.
In the heavy hammer, Kuester won with an aggregate distance of 55.76 metres from his five throws.
His second success came in the one-handed hammer, which he threw a personal best distance of 24.30 metres.
His third gold medal came in the overall competition against rivals from all age groups, when he had the longest total distance of 80.06 metres.
