CALLUM White picked up his first hat-trick as hosts Bicester thrashed West Hampstead 3rd 8-0 in Middlesex Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1.

Bicester started well, and unlike previous weeks, got a goal to warrant their pressure when CJ Birtles fired the ball past the West Hampstead keeper from a well-worked short corner routine.

Birtles scored his second in the same fashion before White picked up his first before half-time with a well taken drag-flick from another short corner.

The home side did not take their foot off the gas and added a fourth when Jonny Reid fired low into the corner of the goal.

White scored their fifth as he fired a flick from a tight angle high into the goal – and he soon had his hattrick with another finish from a short corner.

Dave Sutcliffe and Jordan Chester completed the scoring to give Bicester the three points to keep them unbeaten in 2016.

They now travel to Old Merchant Taylors this Saturday looking to continue their rise.

Bicester Ladies lost 1-0 at home to fellow strugglers Wycombe in the Trysports Three Counties League Premier Division.

The hosts were reduced to ten in the first half when Georgie Newell was sent to the sin-bin, but they held the score to 0-0 at half-time.

But Wycombe netted the winner in the second half.

Other results – Men: Eastcote 5th 3, Bicester 3rd 1 (S Birtles).

Women: Bicester 2nd 1 (L Venning), Marlow 3rd 2.
