Kuester won in the 70+ age group at the WTC Heavy Weight Triathlon World Cup at the Moorways Stadium in Derby on Saturday.
In damp, but mild conditions Kuester finished first with a combined distance of 54.63m.
The result moved him from tenth to seventh in the standings.
He was also first in the Midland Masters Strongest Man/Woman (Light) Championships with a total of 1,885 points.
