Samantha Amend defended her ladies’ title at the Andy Reading 10k race.
The event, hosted jointly by Alchester and Bicester Running Club in memory of former member Reading, saw more than 400 runners compete.
Amend (291), of Belgrave Harriers, finished in 36mins 56secs, three minutes ahead of Emma Neil who made the long trip down from Barrow.
The men’s race went to Alexander Miller, from Datchet Runners, in 33.07.
The first local runner home was Bicester AC’s Tom Gould.
Fresh from his triumph in the under 18 county championship, he shaved over a minute off his previous best to finish in 39.51 to seal 52nd place.
Alchester’s Lilla Somogyi crossed the line in 45mins.
