OXFORD & Bletchingdon Nondescripts had their relegation from Cherwell League Div 2 confirmed after a crushing 112-run defeat at home to Sandford St Martin.
Sandford recovered from 127-5 to post 210-7 in 53 overs, Chris Thompson top-scoring with 45.
Three wickets apiece for Martin Anson, Henry Portman and Chris Thompson sent Nondies to 98 all out, their top scorer being No 9 Arfan Ahmed with 22.
Nondies’ sorry day was summed up as they had five points deducted for providing no scorer.
Twyford were denied a victory in Division 1, when Tom Costley’s fine all-round display helped hosts Oxford Downs to a draw.
The visitors were bowled out for 177, Shahbaz Alam top-scoring with 76 and Costley taking 5-44.
Downs had 53 overs to chase the target, but they batted out for the draw at 160-7, Costley leading the reply with 60 not out and Bilal Afzal returning 4-27.
Bicester & North Oxford suffered a shock defeat at struggling Great Brickhill 2nd, who cruised to a six-wicket victory in Division 3.
The visitors were dismissed for 157, Stafford Sansome top-scoring with 31, while Asif Khan returned 5-36.
Brickhill cruised to 159-4 in the 34th over thanks to Maicol Javed (55) and George Morris (31no).
Westbury, who were without a game, lost the leadership to Wolverton, who beat Banbury 3rd.
Bicester & North Oxford 2nd had the better of their drawn match at home to Horspath 4th in Division 7.
Callum Doak top-scored with 53 as the hosts made 172-8, a total boosted by 38 extras.
Horspath lost early wickets to Haris Naeem (3-37), but a stubborn seventh-wicket stand between Luke Heritage (26no) and Charles Turner (21no) saw them to draw at 136-6.
There was a heavy defeat for Bicester & North Oxford 3rd, who crashed by 128 runs at home to Dinton 3rd.
The visitors rattled up 213-9 thanks to Chris Clayton’s 101, Martin Randall taking 3-22.
Bicester replied with just 85 all out, Dominic O’Sullivan the main destroyer with 4-16.
