WESTBURY wrapped up the OCA Division 1 title in fine style as they crushed visitors Stonesfield by eight wickets on Saturday.
It marked Westbury’s 11th victory in a row as Richard Tredwell’s men deservedly lifted the crown.
Andy Crawford hit 57 for Stonesfield, but they were all out for 146 as Olly Tice took 4-23.
Tom Gurney then hit 84 not out and Ben Rae 31 to lead Westbury to 149-2 and the title.
Fourteen-year-old Thomas Bacon proved age is no issue as he starred for Fringford in their five-wicket win at Cairns Fudge in Division 3.
Batting first, Fudge would have been satisfied with their 221-7 as Mark Chandler top-scored with 49.
But Bacon’s brilliant 80 and Harry Collard’s 75 helped Fringford to 223-5 and an excellent victory.
Westcott suffered a fivewicket defeat against Wootton & Boars Hill.
After the hosts dismissed Westcott for 147, Wootton, who kept alive their promotion hopes with victory, reached 149-5 as Ben Tew hit 53.
There were two outstanding bowling performances in Division 10, where Westcott 2nd were crushed by ten wickets at home to Stanton Harcourt 2nd.
Scott Hambridge took 5-5 in six overs and Matthew Fleet 4-0 in three overs as the home side were skittled for just 39.
Harcourt then raced to 43-0 in seven overs to wrap up victory.
