GARSINGTON returned to the top of OCA Division 1 with a three-wicket victory at Great Horwood as the wet summer again made a big impact on the league programme.
With title contenders Oxenford and Broughton having their games washed out, Garsington seized their chance to go 16 points clear.
Mohammed Sarfraz claimed 3-43 to restrict Horwood to 183-4, for whom Sam Willett hit 97 not out.
Asif Shah then scored 53 to help Garsington to 188-7.
Alex Bowles scored 93 to help Shrivenham beat East Oxford by four wickets.
The home side scored 175-9, but Bowles’s efforts saw Shrivenham to 177-6.
Hook Norton beat Westbury by 27 runs.
Hooky had been shot out for 132, only for Adam Webb (4-29) to shine as Westbury crashed to 105 all out in reply.
Division 2 leaders Chadlington fell to a seven-wicket defeat at Westcott.
They looked favourites when Danny Harding (99) and Alex Yarnley (68) took them to 252-7.
But Najam Ur Rehman scored a magnificent 131 to help Westcott to 256-3.
East & West Hendred closed the gap with a five-wicket win at Watlington.
Miles Martin claimed 5-26 in Watlington’s 105 all out, before Jason Briggs (34) led Hendred to 108-5.
Tetsworth saw off Faringdon by 21 runs in the division’s only other game to beat the weather.
Andy Herrington smashed 102 to help Britwell Salome to a 94-run home win against West Ilsley in Division 3.
Along with Matt Luxford (80), Britwell posted 237-5.
Neil Lawrence (3-33) and Nick Humphries (3-47) helped dismiss Ilsley for 143.
East Oxford 2nd thrillingly beat Chipping Norton by just one run.
They were bowled out for 115, Matthew Molyneux taking 4-9, but Zahid Ali took 4-21 as Chippy fell for 114.
Winslow Town restricted Radley to 157-6 before Callum Price (48no) saw them to 163-6 in a four-wicket victory.
Cairns Fudge made it eight Division 4 wins from nine with a crushing 167-run success.
Tom Small (69) and Nick Gleave (61) were key in Fudge’s 222-7, before Steve Shaw claimed 4-18 as Chesterton were skittled out for 55.
Wantage stayed second with a five-wicket win over Deddington.
Barry Martin (56no) and Tim Lane (48) shone in Wantage’s 179-5 as they chased down Deddington’s 178-6.
John Bacon was in sizzling form with 5-31 to help Fringford to a three-wicket win over Great Horwood 2nd.
Horwood were all out for 107 thanks to Bacon’s haul, and then Jonny Reid hit 42 in Fringford’s 111-7.
