BICESTER & North Oxford recovered from a poor start to secure a comfortable 63-run win at home to Great Brickhill in Cherwell League Division 3.

After losing two early wickets, the hosts hit back to reach 255-6 thanks to two century stands.

Stafford Sansome (87) dominated a third-wicket partnership of 110 with Ryan Moore (28), before Dan Savin, who notched a classy 51 not out from just 33 balls, and Matt Woods (43) added another 100 runs.

Savin and Woods combined again with the ball to restrict Brickhill’s early scoring.

Danny Clark (3-40) and Ryan Moore (3-27) reaped the rewards of that pressure, as the visitors were dismissed for 192 in the 48th over.

Oxford & Bletchingdon Nondescripts were put in and proceeded with few alarms to 243-4 in their 50 overs at home to Great & Little Tew 2nd, Garry Adamson hitting 70 and Pablo Mukherjee 56.

Tim Wyatt then scored 108 off 97 balls in Tew’s reply, but they lost regular wickets at the other end to fall for 178.

In Division 2, Westbury posted their third straight victory when seeing off hosts Oxford 2nd by 57 runs.

Olly Tice hit 98 and Tom Wilson struck 54 as Westbury set 275-5 in their 50 overs.

Mursaleen Sadiqi then scored 51 and Abdullah Sadiqi hit 30 in Oxford’s reply, but tight bowling from veteran Richard Tredwell (3-33) and Graham Judd (3-40) restricted them to 218-9.

Bicester & North Oxford 2nd were skittled for 80 in their Division 7 match away to Horspath 4th to lose by 129 runs.

Mike Naylor (52) top-scored as the hosts made 209-6, adding 100 from their last 15 overs.

Only Adam Gould (36) offered resistance as the visitors were dismissed in the 23rd over.

Bicester 3rd received a walk-over from Aston Rowant 4th in Division 10
