North Leigh boss Mark Gee says his side need four wins and a draw from their last six games to have any chance of making the Calor League Division 1 South & West play-offs.

And even then they would have to rely on results going their way, starting with tomorrow’s visit of third-placed Tiverton.

On Tuesday, the Millers slipped to eighth and five points behind fifth-placed Paulton after a 4-0 defeat at Evesham United.

“I would have said our play-off push was over after Tuesday,” said Gee.

“But Paulton lost to Cirencester, so if we beat Tiverton we’re back in it.

“I think it’s between Shortwood, Paulton, ourselves, Yate and Mangotsfield for that final place.

“As I’ve said to the players, every game now until the end of the season is a cup final.

“We’ve got individuals that are capable of winning games and we need our big players to perform.”

John Else and Kieran Sanders return to the squad after sickness.

Didcot Town joint manager Ian Concannon says he has little sympathy for Pablo Haysham after he was sent off for the fourth time this season.

The striker was dismissed for two bookings in their 2-1 midweek win at Fleet and faces a four-match ban.

Concannon said: “I think there’s a bit of naivety and stupidity in there.

“We haven’t got a big squad, so having people suspended doesn’t help.

“He’s been told he can’t keep doing that and hopefully he’ll learn from it.”

Concannon, whose side face a trip to Paulton, has targeted a top-half finish after Tuesday’s win sealed secured their league status.

He added: “The lads have been first-class. They have listened to what they have been told and worked hard.

“When we came in, (with co-boss Jamie Heapy) we were four points adrift at the bottom, so the first task was to make sure Didcot were a Southern League club at the end of the season and we’ve done that.

“We got some better players in and Andy Sinnott (assistant boss/coach) has made a big difference.”
