Yesterday parents across England took their children out of school in protest at new Sats tests which they said are too tricky and leading to youngsters being taught a boring curriculum.
Schools have also criticised the tests, which they say are not appropriate for youngsters and have been introduced in a badly-handled way.
The Government said the tests will improve standards and benefit youngsters.
