A housing developer has pledged to support the environment around one of it's Oxfordshire developments through energy-efficient homes.

Nestled on Heaton Road, Bicester, David Wilson Homes' Hemins Place provides an array of features enabling greater energy efficiency.

The Bradgate style home boasts EPC A-rated solar panels.

These generate electricity from the sun's power, potentially leading to significant winter savings on electricity bills.

New rules announced at the end of November from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, confirmed by housing and planning minister Lee Rowley MP, aim to simplify the installation of rooftop solar panels for homes and businesses.

According to The Money Saving Expert, a household with an average 3.5 kilowatt-peak solar panel system could decrease bills by £155 to £400 annually, at current Energy Price Cap rates.

Gavin Lambert, sales manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: "As a leading developer, we must do all we can to help welcome neighbouring nature into our new communities.

"Hemins Place has been expertly designed to suit the needs of the modern-day homebuyer with spacious streets, designated green spaces and energy efficient homes.

"With just 14 homes remaining at the development, we encourage potential homebuyers to contact our sales advisers to arrange a viewing."

David Wilson Homes have been maintaining partnerships with the RSPB since 2014, ensuring ongoing support for nature and wildlife within it's Oxfordshire developments.
