MORE than 200 students celebrated the end of their GCSE examinations by dressing up in ball gowns and tuxedos and attending their end of school ball.
Not even a heavy downpour could dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of the students from Cooper School.
As proud parents lined the entrance of Tythe Barn, in Launton, near Bicester, youngsters arrived in a variety of transport styles.
Some turned up in a pink stretch limousine, or a black Hummer, while others opted for a horse drawn carriage and a Harley Davidson motorbike.
After posing for photographs, the boys and girls gathered in the 650-year-old barn to dance the night away.
Head of year 11 Alistair Duncan said: "Having spent five years together there have been strong friendships forged which will last a lifetime. These students have worked hard revising and taking their GCSEs and deserve a chance to let their hair down.
"They now have the anxious wait until late August when the results come out and all the staff wish them well, not just for the results, but for the future."
