Three passengers of a Honda Accord have been taken to hospital after a crash on the A34.

The incident occurred northbound in between the Weston-on-the-Green junction and junction 9 of the M40.

The collision involved a Volvo HGV lorry and a Honda Accord.

The three passengers of the car have been taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Headington, but do not have life threatening injuries.

South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman Michelle Archer said they were called at 12.32pm and sent three ambulance crews.

She added: "Three people were assessed and treated at the scene and have been taking to the John Radcliffe hospital, but do not have life threatening injuries."

Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said: "We were called at 12.28pm to the A34 nortbound just prior to junction 9 of M40 to an RTC involving a Volvo HGV and a Honda Accord – three occupants of the Honda have been taken to hospital."
