Stars of the Great British Bake Off and MasterChef have been announced as part of the line up at the second annual Blenheim Palace Food Festival.

Tamal Ray, who became a national heart-throb on the baking show last year, will be demonstrating his skills at the palace along with Tony Rodd who narrowly missed out on the MasterChef crown.

The pair will be joined by many more chefs including Nick Pullen, owner of Wild Thyme in Chipping Norton, and Dipna Anand the author of 'Beyond Brilliant'.

More than 20,000 visitors took in the festival last year which is set to return due to its success first time around.

MasterChef 2015 runner-up Mr Rodd said: "I'm really looking forward to my day at the Blenheim Palace Food Festival.

The festival is set in such a beautiful setting and has great traders, chefs and entertainers.

I'll be cooking two dishes that demonstrate how to get the best from seasonal ingredients and will be on hand to answer questions about my food and my time on MasterChef."

Local food and drink from more than 100 stallholders including craft brews, gourmet burgers and artisans bakes will also be on display at the festival in May.

There will be activities for all the family with storytellers, garden games and face painting for children.

The festival will take place on the late May bank holiday weekend from May 28-30 from 10am-5pm.
