RESIDENTS in Wootton were hit by a power cut last night.
Some 224 properties in the village, near Abingdon, were affected after an overhead line was damaged.
Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) said the problem was reported at 11.05pm yesterday.
Engineers worked on solving the problem overnight and power was restored at 5.10am today.
A spokesman said the workers had now finished their shifts but would return today to find out the cause of the issue.
He said: "Power is back on for everyone’s breakfast this morning."
