I passed the incident just after it happened while on my way to work. It's quite busy during this time and every other driver appeared to negotiate the roundabout despite the fog.

If 'highly trained' professional drivers, who have the responsibility of driving large heavy goods vehicles on our roads, can fail to see something as large as a roundabout then what chance do they have of seeing smaller objects such as pedestrians and cyclists.

I trust that this driver will be made to reimburse the taxpayer for the damage caused and only be allowed to get behind the wheel again after proving themselves capable of driving in a manner appropriate for the conditions? In my dreams.
