The Cotswold Line Promotion Group, which represents passengers on the rail route through West Oxfordshire, is looking for a new treasurer.
Andrew Wilkins, 74, from Long Hanborough, who has held the post since 2000, has announced that he will step down at the group's annual meeting in May next year but hopes to find a replacement soon, so that there can be a smooth handover.
He told members in the group’s newsletter: “I would not like to expire, suddenly leaving a financial nightmare for someone else to pick up.”
Mr Wilkins plans to continue to serve as the CLPG’s representative for Hanborough station.
