Children's centre is burgled
10:40am Friday 4th January 2013 in News
Claire Acworth
THIEVES broke into and ransacked a charity building which serves children from across Oxfordshire.
The raiders used heavy objects to smash four external doors and six internal doors at Thomley Activity Centre, a recreational centre for disabled children, in Worminghall.
They also broke into filing cabinets, causing several thousands of pounds of damage. An old laptop, a digital camera and around £50 in petty cash was snatched.
Staff discovered the break-in early on Saturday morning.
Director Claire Acworth, from Iffley, Oxford, could not understand why anybody could be so callous.
Miss Acworth, 42, said: “All of us were just shocked that anybody could be so heartless to break into a children’s charity.”

If you seriously can't understand why they're so callous or heartless then you're truly very naive.
Theives don't care about you or anyone else regardless of the age of the immediate or indirect victims. As for why... well they got an old laptop worth very little, around £50 in petty cash and a digital camera. In all they might end up with £100 which means that they're £100 better off than they were beforehand, so that's why they did it.
They went with nothing and came out with something. That's the way these scumbags think. They don't care about the damage caused or the distress to any individual regardless of who they are.
