James Florey captured the last two Cumnor wickets in consecutive deliveries with two minutes of the match remaining as Oxford Downs gained their first win with a 108-run victory.

The leg spinner finished with 4-21 as Cumnor were bowled out for 192, of which Jamie Douglas contributed a classy 55.

But the innings of the day had been played by Downs skipper Wes Bartlett, whose 97 combined some lusty blows with good fortune, and Richard West (88), as the hosts amassed 300 before being bowled out. Ayaz Khan took 5-77 and Ali Morteza 4-61.

Oxford Downs 25pts, Cumnor 9 Chris Panter took 5-37 as Shipton-under-Wychwood secured their first win of the season with a five-wicket victory over Bicester & North Oxford to climb off the bottom.

Bicester's batsmen had no answer to the veteran seamer as they crumbled to 126 all out.

Adam Yates took 3-33 as Bicester made Shipton work hard for the runs, but Andrew Hemming's 45 helped them to 127-5.

Shipton-under-Wychwood 25pts, Bicester & North Oxford 6 Oxford 2nd managed an even higher score than Downs, but their 304-6 was arguably too many as Horspath batted out for a draw.

Wasim Mehmood (92) and Ian Crosby (38) put on 96 for the third wicket, then Mehmood and Shamilal Mendis (60) added 99 for the fourth.

Robbie Eason then hit 67 and Mohson Rana 63 as the home side settled for obtaining maximum batting points at 237-5.

Horspath 10, Oxford 2nd 13 Buckingham Town beat Banbury Twenty by four wickets and are now the only team with maximum points.

Put in to bat, Twenty struggled to 155 all out as only Ashley Pearson (60) got going against Vishal Valambhia, who finished with figures of 7-54.

Keith Arnold then took four early wickets to have Town in trouble, but opener Leigh Tomlinson (47) held his nerve and Graham Judd 52 not out saw his side over the line.

Banbury Twenty 8, Buckingham 25 Mike Sutliff smashed 60 to give Dinton a flying start at Bletchley Town, and then Ashley Smith hit 63 to take his side to 250-7, at which point they declared one over early.
