Banbury 2nd went top of Division 1 after being the only side to play and win for the second week running.

The recent wet weather decimated the league's programme in June, but Banbury 2nd have managed to win consecutive matches over the past fortnight when others have been kicking their heels.

Their latest success came at Bicester & North Oxford, who crumbled to 132 all out in the face of some fine bowling by Wayne Hazel (3-20) and Joe White (3-30).

The visitors' march to victory was only held up by a defiant last-wicket partnership between Steve West and Matthew Woods, who each scored 30 before Woods was finally defeated.

Earlier, Hazel had top-scored with 55 and Chris Board had hit exactly 50 in Banbury's 201-9, in which Adam Wade (3-28), Kalyanakrishna Doddapaneni (3-47) and West (3-52) enjoyed success with the ball.
