VOLUNTEERS from an Oxfordshire rugby club were chosen to be flagbearers for England’s Six Nations victory against France.
Eight volunteers from Gosford All Blacks were invited to take part in the pre-match ceremonies at Twickenham.
The group had the honour of carrying the flag onto the pitch and standing alongside the players during the national anthems.

The memorable day was made even more special after the match, which England won 26-25, when the volunteers met and had photos taken with England internationals Ellis Genge, Freddie Steward and Tom Willis.
Gosford All Blacks youth chair Darren Rea, who was one of the volunteers in attendance, said: “We were all humbled by the experience. It was a massive honour and privilege to be nominated and to be invited. This is definitely an experience that will live with us all.”
The club was chosen by Guinness as part of the stout’s Ultimate Guinness Rugby Experience, a competition which saw Gosford recognised for its diversity and inclusion in grassroots rugby.
