JENNA Legg has revealed her ambition to get back into the professional game after a whirlwind career so far.

The 25-year-old midfielder joined Oxford United Women last month, quickly establishing herself in Liam Gilbert’s title-chasing side.

Legg was previously at Norwegian professional side Amazon Grimstad, while she has also spent time at the likes of Chelsea, Charlton Athletic and Watford.

“It’s been a colourful journey, coming through locally at Reading and then going professional quite young at Chelsea,” she said.

“It’s been an exciting experience and every team I’ve been at has taught me something different.

“Most recently in Norway, that was a really cool experience.

“To learn the culture over there and see a different side of the game, it was super physical but had the technical element as well.

“I certainly grew as a person, just experiencing a different culture and different people.

“You learn different things about yourself, and other ways of life and doing things.

“Their way of doing things was ultra-professional and attention to detail was huge.”

Legg added: “The ambition would be to go full-time again, I want to play football at the highest level and I think the ultimate thing would be to go back and be professional.

“If that opportunity arrives, then absolutely I’d love to take that.”
