KARL Robinson has received his second successive manager of the month nomination.

The Oxford United head coach is up for the Sky Bet League One award for November, having also been on the October shortlist.

The U’s held Ipswich Town and Rotherham United to goalless draws last month, in between a 3-1 win over Fleetwood Town.

Although the points haul is unspectacular, United were missing seven first-team players through Covid and several more to injury for the latter two games.

Robinson said: “Anything individual I feel embarrassed about, because without the staff, the players and the fans you do not get manager of the month.

“We’re consistently in those nominations because these staff and players consistently keep doing the right things.”

Robinson appears an outside bet to be the first United manager to win the award since Ramon Diaz in January 2005.

Wigan Athletic boss Leam Richardson is another nominee after putting football into perspective last month.

The Latics manager was credited with saving Charlie Wyke’s life when he performed CPR following the striker’s collapse in training.

Wigan claimed seven points from three matches.

Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley is also up for the award after the south coast side took 13 points from five games, while Darren Moore is in the running following an unbeaten month for Sheffield Wednesday.
