OXFORD United Women have continued a busy week off the pitch with two more signings.

Former Cheltenham Town forward Jade Grove has joined the U’s, following ex-teammate Sarah King through the door after the midfielder’s arrival was announced on Monday.

Midfielder Molly Childerhouse became United’s third new recruit in as many days, having been part of Reading’s squad in the FA Women’s Super League last season.

She told United’s official website: “The games which I saw from last season really impressed me and the way the team plays is really suited to the way I play as well.

“To be honest, it was quite an easy decision to join; the ambitions of this club made the decision a no-brainer really.

“This is a place that I really believe will help me develop and push me to my limits.”

Childerhouse’s move came barely 24 hours after Grove sealed her switch and the striker is similarly excited.

She added: “Surrounding myself with this set of players and coaching staff will only make me a better player.

“Once I came to a training session during pre-season, I saw that everyone is so driven and wants to do the best for themselves and the team.

“Knowing and seeing all of that didn’t make the decision too hard and I know that it’s the right thing to do.”

All three players join ahead of United’s opening pre-season friendly, against Wolves on Sunday.

Liam Gilbert’s side welcome the Black Country club to Court Place Farm (2pm), as they face a fellow third-tier side.

Tickets cost just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions, with entry free for supporters aged under 16.
