DOZENS of City of Oxford members ranked among the top virtual swimmers in the country.

With no meetings on the horizon, Swim England has created Level X racing, where participants complete a time trial and submit the result to an online database.

All City of Oxford’s members had the chance to swim 50m of each stroke, while those in the performance squad raced over 100m.

Thousands of people took part from across the country last year and the national body has now released the results.

Lucy Fox, 14, was the pick of the bunch for City of Oxford, claiming silver in the 100m freestyle and butterfly.

Kayden Sillah, also 14, achieved silver in the 50m breaststroke, while 18-year-old Kenji Mcdade won 50m breaststroke silver.

There was a further bronze medal to add to the tally, thanks to Joe Watkiss, 15, claiming a national third place in the 100m breaststroke.

Another 20 swimmers placed in the top ten of their respective events.

There were a further eight masters medal winners, as well as 16 masters swimmers in the top ten.
