Matt ‘The Cat’ Croyle has signed for Oxford City Stars from Bracknell Hornets.
Head Coach Dean Birrell moved to sign the 24-year-old netminder after Mark Duffy’s departure earlier this summer.
Croyle came through the junior system in Slough before breaking into senior hockey with the Sheffield Senators.
He also played for Sheffield Spartans and had a successful stint at Widnes Wild, before spending last season with the Hornets.
Croyle said: “It is a fresh start this year at Oxford and it is really exciting for me.
“Dean has put a great squad together so it’s going to be exciting to get on the ice and see what we can do as a team.”
Birrell said: “Matt has good experience and comes highly recommended by our assistant coach Carl Graham, who played with him in Bracknell.
“Matt is a good character and a good goalie and a great addition to our squad.”
