OXFORD United's players and staff have all tested negative for coronavirus on their return from a short break.

The swabs were taken when they reported back yesterday, four weeks on from their Sky Bet League One play-off final defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.

A clean bill of health allows everyone to start full training tomorrow.

After a challenging time trying to find suitable facilities for a camp, the plan is to head for a venue in Wales from tomorrow.

Boss Karl Robinson told the club's website: "The first good news is that all the tests came back negative.

“That means we can start again and train fully from Wednesday when we will hopefully be going away for a few days."

The new League One season kicks off in 32 days, but their return to action could be less than four weeks away, with the possibility competitive cup matches will be scheduled before September 12.
