Oxford City Stars have started selling branded face coverings – with all profits going to the Oxford Hospitals Charity.

The club have already announced NHS staff and those who work for other emergency services will get free entry to home games at Oxpens next season.

And they have now gone one step further as a gesture of gratitude, with the launch of their face coverings for supporters.

Priced at £6 each via the club’s website, they are washable and reusable, but not medically certified.

Greig Box Turnbull, a director at Stars, said: “We wanted to further support the NHS locally and felt this was a great way to do so.

“Not only do the face coverings provide supporters with a great product that is useful, it also directly helps our local NHS.

“All the profits will go to the Oxford Hospitals Charity, to help make a difference at a local level.

“Everyone at the NHS have been incredible in looking after our community and we hope this small gesture will give them another well-deserved boost during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
