DANIEL Ricciardo will leave Renault at the end of the season to drive for McLaren.
The Enstone-based team had been in talks over renewing a contract for the Australian, who joined in 2019.
But they have announced a split at the end of the campaign - which is yet to begin due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Cyril Abiteboul, Renault's managing director, said: βIn our sport, and particularly within the current extraordinary situation, reciprocated confidence, unity and commitment are, more than ever, critical values for a works team.
"I am confident that the 2020 season will allow us to accomplish even more together. Our ambitions and the strategy of Renault DP World F1 Team remain unchanged.β
