THE Aunt Sally season may be reduced by 50 per cent in a bid to get some competition in this summer.
The Oxford & District League’s seven sections had been due to start on Wednesday, April 22.
But the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on daily life means that is now up in the air.
The committee are waiting to see when restrictions are eased, but in a statement they raised the possibility of one solution once conditions improve.
It read: “I think we can safely say that an 18-week season is now not possible.
“We are looking at different ways to run the league, one being having a nine-week season where everyone will play each other once and hold all competitions at the end of the season as block play offs.”
