LILY Bunting led the way as Vale TKD achieved their record points tally at the English Championships.

The youngster took the adult competitor title with gold in adult female red belt sparring and special technique (flying kicks), plus silver in patterns.

Bunting capped a haul of more than 30 medals for the club in Guildford.

The 21 competitors earned 70 points to come second behind Thames Valley, whose team had ten more people.

Carl Davis secured two golds in black belt fifth degree patterns and -78kg sparring, as did Tash Turner in under 14 green belt patterns and sparring.

Lilly Emptage topped the podium in the under 14 black belt sparring, while Vic Davis emulated her teammate in adult female red belt patterns and took silver in sparring.

Sean McIntyre added gold in adult black belt first dan patterns and silver in sparring, while Jack Bowler was first in under 10 male yellow belt patterns.

Max Rhodes and Freya Zwoko claimed gold in the under 14 male -155cm black belt sparring and under 10 female yellow belt patterns and silver in patterns and sparring respectively.

Jacob Harper won the under 10 yellow belt -135cm sparring, while Jack Raven triumphed in the under 10 yellow belt -125cm sparring.

Maisie Bevan won double silver, with runners-up medals also going to Sami Grimes and Harry Bevan.

Benny Stoten, Harrison Moore, Lily Ballard and Aisha Macey claimed two bronzes each, with Ollie Markieuicz and Samu Pozsgai also finishing third.

Bunting, Stoten and Moore won gold in their respective teams in the new tag team sparring, with Davis and McIntyre taking silver in the adult black belt team friendly.
