OXFORD United will not return to training for at least another two weeks as the coronavirus outbreak continues to take its toll.

The club's heads of departments met today and agreed staff and players should stay away from the facility at Horspath and the Kassam Stadium.

It comes after the EFL yesterday extended its season suspension to April 30, while it advised all training activities should be halted until April 3 at the earliest.

United had initially planned to restart training this coming Monday, but players will continue to follow individual fitness programmes, monitored by coaching staff.

A club statement said: "We are currently in the midst of an unprecedented world health crisis which will need all of us to innovate and adapt in reference to our normal working practises.

"The health and wellbeing of all our staff and players is paramount at this difficult time."
