Lee Godber and Thomas Marshall swapped the winter weather for sunnier climes at the Ironman Dubai 70.3.
The Bicester Triathlon Club members both impressed at the imposing course, which comprised a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile cycle ride and 13.1-mile run.
Godber was the 17th V40 in 4hrs 48mins, enough for 102nd overall.
Marshall’s time is still to be officially confirmed after a malfunction on the swim section of the race.
Meanwhile, clubmate Jo Gundle was the fastest LV50 at the Dorney Lake Winter Duathlon, clocking an impressive 2.35.26.
