OXFORDSHIRE’S Under 18s face a nervous wait to see if they have reached the Shires League national play-off finals.
The teenagers beat their Cambridgeshire counterparts 20-0 at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes to bring their record in qualifying to five victories and one defeat.
But they have to await the results of other matches before seeing if they have progressed.
Elsewhere, Rebecca Norkett took gold at the Hertfordshire Under 17 event, beating the host county’s top seed 25-23 in the final.
She then partnered Oxfordshire teammate Jess Street to girls’ doubles silver.
Unseeded Rachel Wang produced a sensational display to claim girls’ singles gold at the Warwickshire Under 15 competition, overcoming a strong line-up to take the top prize.
At the Kent Under 13 tournament, Jamie Wakefield held off a determined challenge from the home county’s players to net his third boys’ singles gold of 2020.
A silver alongside partner Tejas Venugopal, of Surrey, followed in the boys’ doubles.
