JESS Street was in sensational form to claim double gold at the Northamptonshire Under 17 competition.

The Banbury teenager swept all before her in the singles draw, recording five straight wins to secure the title.

She then teamed up with Oxfordshire teammate Rebecca Norkett to add the girls’ doubles.

Elsewhere, Eynsham’s Maddy Crook took women’s singles gold at the Hertfordshire (Tier 4) senior event.

Harry Jones battled to an impressive silver medal at the Redbridge Under 17.

The youngster topped a tough qualifying group, before winning two knockout games.

But he was edged out 21-11, 21-15, 21-13 in the final.

Oxfordshire’s Under 16s moved one step closer to the Shires League play-offs with a comfortable 15-5 win against Hampshire 2nd.

Meanwhile, Oakley’s Ethan Rose is competing at the the Iceland International Future Series this week.

The competition finishes tomorrow.
