OXFORD United's FA Youth Cup run came to an end with a 2-0 fourth round defeat at Preston North End.

Ethan Walker scored both goals at Deepdale to set up a visit to Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers in the last 16.

Preston opened the scoring from the penalty spot on 20 minutes.

Walker, who was brought down by Sam Johnson, took the spot kick himself and beat Max Evans from 12 yards.

Fabio Lopes and Leon Chambers-Parillon had efforts saved as United searched for an equaliser before half-time.

Preston doubled their lead ten minutes into the second half, Walker again making the difference by reaching a cross just before Evans.

United came on strongly in the latter stages, but could not find a way through.
