FORUM A closed the gap on Division 1 leaders Rutherford to one point with a 10-0 thrashing of strugglers Bicester A.

Wins for Greg Boone, Peter Harris and Fraser Harris saw Forum take full advantage of the table-toppers having a week without a game.

A resurgent British Rail beat Forum B by the same scoreline, Darren Jones, Neil Cartwright and James Lovelock on form.

Meanwhile, Forum D’s Kiarash Shaddel was forced to retire hurt from his side’s 8-2 defeat to Forum C.

Shaddel twisted his ankle while winning the first leg of his opening game against Andrew Flint and lost the next legs 15-13 and 17-15 before pulling out.

Flint and Michael Kenyon recorded maximums for Forum C.

In Division 2, Ryan Hambridge’s full house was not enough to stop Forum E falling to a 7-3 reverse to second-placed Ral B.

Damon So also claimed a maximum for Forum F in their 5-5 draw with Begbroke, as did Forum G’s Zsolt Fekete to secure a draw by the same scoreline against Gladiators.

Ben Hague and Paul Casey led the way as Forum G beat lowly Witney A 8-2.

Alan Plater inspired Forum I to a 7-3 triumph over Community A 7-3 to stay top of Division 3.

Elsewhere, Forum H upset Bicester C 6-4, thanks to John Duncalfe’s treble.

Vikings B clinched a 6-4 win over Holton D, with Brian Dobson’s maximum in vain.

An Adrian Reeve maximum helped Witney B hold Holton C to a 5-5 draw.
