EDDIE Pepperell survived a shaky end to his second round to make the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

The Abingdon golfer shot a one-over 73 at Leoplard Creek CC, South Africa, to go in at level par at the halfway stage.

Pepperell stormed up the leaderboard in the early stages of his round, picking up shots at his second, fourth, fifth and sixth holes.

But the Frilford Heath member faltered as he approached the turn, with a bogey at the eighth and double bogey at the ninth.

Another bogey followed at the 14th, before Pepperell dropped two more shots at the par-five 15th.

But a birdie at the 17th made sure he was well above the projected cut line.
