Eddie Pepperell produced a steady display in his opening round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa.
The Abingdon golfer shot a one-under 71 at Leopard Creek CC in Malelane.
Starting at the tenth, Pepperell picked up shots at his fourth and fifth holes.
A bogey followed at the next, before a birdie on his eighth was followed by another dropped shot at his ninth to reach the turn one-under.
The Frilford Heath member picked up another shot at his 14th, but slipped back with a bogey at his penultimate hole.
He tees off at 10.20am in his second round tomorrow morning.
