THE return of two key men is set to boost Chinnor at Plymouth Albion tomorrow.

Forwards Jack Ramshaw (Achilles) and Joe Dancer (elbow) have been long-term absentees, but they are set to make the 440-mile round trip to Devon with the squad.

The Thame-based side are hoping to make it four games unbeaten in National League 1 and director of rugby Matt Williams is glad to see the pair back in the fold.

He said: “We’ve not seen Jack Ramshaw yet this year, he was our stalwart forward enforcer last year.

“Joe Dancer was obviously player of the year (last season) and we’ve missed him badly since the start of the season.

“There’s not a better lineout technician than him in the league, so I’m looking forward to having them both in the mix.”

Chinnor, who sit fifth in the table, have faced dominant packs in the last three weeks and director of rugby Williams predicts more of the same this weekend.

He said: “It’s a great ground, with great supporters, and it’s always a physical welcome.

“They have a big pack – pretty much the same as the last couple of weeks – and they’re going to come at us hard.”

Henley Hawks face a team from south west London for the second successive week when they entertain Barnes in National League 2 South.

George Primett and Dave Hyde come into the forward pack as Henley, who are third in the table, aim to build on last weekend’s 34-13 win at Esher.

Liam O’Neill and Xav Andre are the two changes to the back line.

Rhys Painton is the only new man in the Oxford Harlequins XV for the visit of Chippenham in South West 1 East.

Painton returns to hooker, with Sheldon Graddon at prop.

Southern Counties North table-toppers Witney travel to Oxfordshire rivals Wallingford aiming to make it nine wins from nine.

Dan Wakeman steps up from the 2nd team for Scott Thomson, while Arron Lambourne and Jordan Pratt also return.

Grove’s Luke Matthews is on international duty with Malta, so Huw Lewis makes his first start of the season at Thatcham in Southern Counties South.

Nick Sevier and Sam Tokelove also come in.
