CAMERON Brannagan is due back on the grass at Oxford United today for the first time since his knee injury.

The midfielder has been sidelined for almost a month and is not expected to be back in action until mid-December.

But getting him back out at the training ground is a boost.

U's boss Karl Robinson said: "It’s massive.

"It’s only straight-line stuff with it being a ligament injury, but he’s on the grass.

"The problem with Cameron Brannagan will be keeping him controlled.

"We’ve got to make sure we step it up (gradually)."

Josh Ruffels is due to train fully today for the first time this week as he returns from a dead leg, which could see him return to action at Southend United on Saturday.

Jamie Hanson, out since the start of September with a hamstring problem, was also due to take part.
