ABINGDON GC members had another memorable competition after landing 21 County Championship gold medals.

Hosting the event where gymnasts nominate their best apparatus to compete against the rest of Oxfordshire, Abingdon proved a cut above their rivals.

Three of the girls were also awarded the judges special awards on vault (Corinna Gooderham), bars (Tiegan Trafford) and beam (Olivia Kenny).

Meanwhile, Carterton GC also celebrated a number of impressive wins.

Niamh Kelly was the star of the show, picking up gold medals on the floor and vault.

Teammate Nia Foggett also claimed two medals, winning gold on beam and taking bronze on bars.

Grace Goldthorpe and Baileigh Harwood enjoyed success on beam, claiming gold in their respective categories.

Lily Johns just missed out on first place on beam, settling for silver, while she was third on bars.

Annabelle Kelly and Emily Whittaker also represented Carterton, the former excelling on floor to seal the competition plate for the club.

Elsewhere, two members of Abingdon’s FunFlix GC produced fine results at the UK Gymnastics Level 8 competition in Milton Keynes.

Lidia Enticknap won the age 11 category on beam, with Emily Pether third on the vault in the age 13 competition.
