ADAM Smith came off the bench to fire an extra-time winner as Oxford United started their FA Youth Cup campaign.

Fabio Lopes, Nico Jones and Michael Elechi, who all signed professional contracts last season, were among the starters last night.
United's threat grew as the game went on, with Tyler Goodrham, who was named on the bench for United's first team in August, twice coming close to breaking the deadlock in normal time.
But he was replaced in extra time and within five minutes Smith headed in Jones's cross to settle the tie.
