CHINNOR are out to end Rams’ 100 per cent record when they travel to Berkshire tomorrow.

The sides meet in the third tier of English rugby for the first time, but their paths have crossed on many occasions in their respective journeys to National League 1.

Chinnor head into the fixture off the back of a 29-19 bonus-point win at home to Hull Ionians.

They make the short trip to newly-promoted Rams, who have won all three of their opening games, looking to continue their improvement.

Backs coach Ricky Khan said: “It’s our third away game and is going to be huge.

“It’s a local derby for us, the two clubs have gone through the leagues together over the past few years, so it should be a really good test.”

Khan added: “Coming back off the loss at Richmond we needed to put a good performance in at the weekend (against Hull).

“We did stutter at times but generally, bar the unforced errors, we looked good and things are starting to develop and move forward now.”

Chinnor have won the last four meetings between the sides and they are hoping some inside knowledgewill go a long way to making it five in a row.

“I know a lot about them,” said Khan. “I worked with their defence coach Danny Batty for eight years and a lot of their players play for my county side Berkshire.”

Lock Joe Dancer (elbow) is a doubt, while flanker George Oliver (knee) is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Nick Selway is unavailable, but skipper Carl Kirwan returns after being rested and prop Luc Jeannot has recovered from concussion.

Something has to give when Henley Hawks travel to Taunton Titans in National 2 South.

Both sides boast 100 per cent records, with Hawks topping the table courtesy of their superior points difference.

Oxford Harlequins make four changes for their South West 1 East clash at Salisbury.

Nick Marshall, Joel Hopkins, Nick Harris and Ed Yeates all come in to the starting XV.

Grove travel to Frome bidding to stay top of the Southern Counties South table and end the hosts’ unbeaten start.

Guy Nichol, Ben Law, Jack Horrocks and Luke Matthews are all unavailable.

Mark Roberts returns and Nick Sevier makes his first start of the season, while Zeb Johnson and Jimmy Wallbridge come into the squad.

Witney head coach Adam Copperwheat has selection problems ahead of their Southern Counties North clash at Didcot.

Jake Edwards, Deag Bayliss, Dan Beechey, Matt Clarke, Rhys Morgan Lewis Collins and Callum Godfrey are all missing.
