DAVE Hawkins came out on top in the 11th round of the Oxford Carp League.

The Didcot angler saw off his eight rivals at Extension Pool, Tunnel Barn Farm.

Hawkins weighed in with 107lbs 10oz 0drms, fishing pellets across to the reed bed to tempt carp.

Steve Cantwell (Harwell) was the runner-up with 92.12.0, while caster shallow helped Steve Page (Oxford) to third place with 79.10.0.

Drennan Oxford Aqua dominated the annual Turner 400, fished by 25 teams of four on the Upper Thames between Radcot and Rushey.

They took the title with a superb 92 out of a possible 100 points.

Not only did they win the team event, but they also had the top two in the match.

Tom Hobbs, pegged on the Rushey section, took top spot with eight chub for 33lb on worm over chop worm on the pole at 16m.

Steve Harwood was second with 13.0.0 of roach on pole fished caster from the Radcot section.
