DRENNAN Oxford produced a brilliant performance to win bronze at the Angling Trust Division 1 National event in Yorkshire.
Spread over the Aire and Calder canal and Junction canal, 48 teams from across the country took part.
Drennan were only beaten by two sides as they scored 369 points, with Dan Varney the top individual performer as he finished second overall.
Meanwhile, Harry Oliver got the better of brother Jacob to land Yarnton AC’s Summer League and Roach Cup.
The siblings were involved in a two-man race heading into the final round on the River Thames at Cassington.
Ernie Smith took victory on the day with two good bream and a few silvers for an overall weight of 13lb 11oz 0drms.
Harry Oliver took second with 13.8.0, beating Jacob by four ounces to make sure he landed the league title.
Only two ounces separated the brothers in the Roach Cup, with Harry sealing a double win.
Elsewhere, Dave Pether won the Masons AC points match at Lake View, Worminghall.
Mainly using the method with pellet and maggots, he triumphed with 65.12.0 of carp.
Lol Budd was second with 58.11.0 and Tony Clempson third with 32.8.0.
